Trendlines (see Figure 1(5)) are drawn by pressing and dragging the left mouse button on the chart. Pressing and holding the Alt keyboard key will cause the current trendline point to switch discetely between Low-Open-Close-High values of the chart.
Choose Toggle Edit from the pop up menu to edit a trendline:
Select Toggle Edit again to exit from the editing mode. If the Alt key is pressed, the trendline will be constrained by the current chart values. The trendline can be cloned by dragging the line with the Ctrl key pressed.
There are three modes of trendlines:
- Infinite line.
- Line terminated on the left.
- Line terminated on the right.
To switch between modes choose Toggle Extend from the menu.
The line can be erased by choosing Delete. The pop up menu also allows for changing the line color.
The horizontal and vertical lines can be drawn by clicking the right mouse button on an empty space within the chart area (not on a chart line), choosing Draw and then the type of the line from the menu. Hold the left mouse button down and position the line as desired.
The horizontal and vertical lines can be edited in the same manner as trendlines.
