The settings window is opened by clicking the "Options" button () or selecting File->Options from the menu.

The basic settings are available from the main panel.

• The Path to MetaStock files. For normal operation of the IDLe the folder with the MetaStock is required. The folder is created automatically at the launch of the IDLe. If you should move the files or wish to create a new data set, you will need to specify their location in the "Path to MetaStock files:" line.
• List of Instruments is the list of instruments available on the server. The active instruments are marked with a checkmark. To mark an instrument, you should double click the mouse at the corresponding box, or select the box with arrows and the "space" key. You can also select all instruments for a certain interval or all intervals for a certain instrument. To do so, you should click the button with the appropriate interval (instrument) symbol in the upper (left) hand part of the table. To select all available instruments and intervals, click the button with arrows in the upper left hand part of the table.
• MetaStock Symbol Name. (Symbol name). You will find this data under this symbol upon opening the folder by the MetaStock or the MetaStock Downloader.
• Last Load Date. It is the date of the last received quotation.
• Get Date from the File (Get date). If you have modified the data outside of the IDLe, for example by removing or adding data through the MetaStock Downloader, you will need to synchronize the IDLe and the data file. The synchronization will be accomplished by clicking this button. The same result can be obtained through the use of a drop-down menu appearing at a right-click of the mouse. If the data isn't edited, the button isn't needed.
